Creating something out of nothing...

  • Our workshops cater for children and adults desiring specialised training to develop their skills for a future career, as well as for children and adults with special needs who benefit from sensory integration techniques to support their ability to learn and perform.
  • Children's Workshops: sessions 1-2 hours. Maximum of forty children (mainstream schools or colleges), or twenty five children (special needs school) per workshop. Ideal for children from nursery through to secondary school.
  • We also provide training for drama and dance teachers. The workshops currently offered are:
    - Classical Mime History and Techniques.
    - Breath, movement, and the body in theatre.
    - Mime and sensory integration techniques to support special needs children and adults in class and in therapy.
  • These workshops are ideal for teachers requiring support to teach National Curriculum requirements in original and inspiring ways.
  • Teacher Training Workshops: one hour workshops. Ideal for inset training days.
  • Internationally trained in classical mime and physical theatre techniques including training by the mime master Marcel Marceau who has taught many performers the famous moon walk technique!
  • Highly experienced in working with children and adults with a wide variety of abilities, our workshops include training in movement, classical mime and sensory integration.

We have performed and taught all ages in Newbury and Thatcham Festival of Arts. We are very active in the local communities all around Berkshire, having taught and performed for workshops at the Corn Exchange and for the Mayoral Civic Services, local theatre groups and schools. We are teaching everyone from special needs to adults that are studying for performing arts careers. Our team also volunteer to teach students from underprivileged families all over Berkshire, and we are locally supported by Thatcham Town Council.

To sum it all up we are a very local unique academy in the Newbury area.
