Triangle Players, Tilehurst
Sinbad and the Golden Goddess, 24th to 26th January and 1st to 2nd February 2019
A Pantomime written by Valerie Hodgson. Sinbad the Sailor is a fictional mariner and the hero of a story-cycle of Middle Eastern origin. He is described as hailing from Baghdad during the early Abbasid Caliphate (8th and 9th centuries CE). In the course of seven voyages throughout the seas east of Africa and south of Asia, he has fantastic adventures in magical realms, encountering monsters and witnessing supernatural phenomena. This pantomime is a local, Tilehurst take on one of his adventures, suitable for all the family.
Methodist Church Hall, School Road, Tilehurst, Reading RG31 5AN.

Hopefully you are reading this because you are curious as to who the Triangle Players are and what they do. Please view our website www.triangleplayers.co.uk for more info about the group and some of its previous productions. Our thespian calendar includes two plays (in April/ May and Oct/Nov), a pantomime (Jan/Feb) and a programme of social activities during the summer.
The Triangle Players are looking for new members to join this very friendly group. If you share our enthusiasm for amateur dramatics do come and join us. You don’t have to act to be a member of the group either. We also welcome new members to our back stage crew for set building and painting, lighting, stage management etc, although we wouldn’t say ‘no’ to some additional acting talent; in fact we would welcome you with open arms!
We meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 to 10 pm in the Main Hall behind the Methodist Church in School Road, Tilehurst, (opposite the Co-op). There is a car park in Recreation Road just behind the Co-op! So, if you live in Tilehurst or in the Reading area and would like to find out more, or even to come along and see for yourself, please contact our Publicity Officer Tracy Harrison via our website contact form or send an e-mail to the address below.
