Summer courses 2012

The Watermill’s popular Summer Courses are back! All courses are led by theatre professionals and held in The Watermill’s rehearsal rooms on site.

Play in a Week, 6th to 10th August
Ages: 8-11 (mornings), 12 - 16yrs (Afternoons). Devise, rehearse, and perform a play, all in one week! Experience is not required, but enthusiasm is a must! Price £90.

The Watermill Academy, 13th to 17th August
Ages: 16-22. An intense, rewarding week designed for those who are considering a career as an actor. There will be classes in improvisation, singing, stage combat, vocal and movement skills, and at the end of the week you perform in a showcase to your family and friends. Price £115.

Musical in a Week, 20th to 24th August
Ages: 12-16. Act, write, direct, sing, play and dance in your own musical that you will perform to an invited audience at the end of the week. No experience is required, only enthusiasm. Price £150.

Workshops 2012

Stage Combat, 2nd November
Ages: 8-11 (morning), 12-16 (afternoon). Ever wondered how they make a fight look real on stage or in films? Work with our highly trained stage combat director to discover how fights are convincingly created onstage without causing any actual injury! Price £16.

Magic Workshop, 1st December
The workshop is for children who are coming to see Arabian Nights for the matinée performance.
Ages: 5-7 (before the matinée), 8-12 (after the matinée). Now is your chance to discover the secrets of a professional magician and learn some tricks to amaze your friends. Price £7.
