Next productions
Dangerous Corner, 4th to 7th June, 7:45
By J. B. Priestley. The directors of an international publishing
firm take time out to relax in the convivial atmosphere of the
Caplan's week-end cottage. After a friendly evening meal they meet
in the drawing room to chat but a chance remark changes the course
of the evening and the social gathering descends into acrimony as
family tensions break and revelations begin to tear the family
apart. Their lives and reputations begin to crumble as revelations
unravel and they cast off the shallow veneer of their lives.

The Memory of Water, 23rd to 26th July, 7:45
By Shelagh Stevenson. Three sisters come together before their
mother's funeral, each haunted by their own demons. The three each
have different memories of the same events, causing constant
bickering about whose memories are true. Teresa is an unhappy
housewife, who runs a health food supplement store with her husband
Frank, and who feels she has had to keep the family together for
years. Mary is a doctor whose five-year affair with Mike, a married
doctor, is starting to show strain. She is also rather obsessed with
nursing a young boy suffering from amnesia, and is troubled by
visions of her dead mother. The youngest daughter Catherine is
permanently trying to catch her sister's attention and feels she was
always left out, even in childhood. As the three women get together
after years of separation, all their hidden lies and self-betrayals
are about to reach the surface...
The Way of the World, 13th to 18th October, 7:45
William Congreve's masterpiece dates from 1700 and features dazzling
wit, fops and country bumpkins, a story of true love and a battle
between good and evil. Plus of course a happy ending. Full, glorious
late Restoration costumes are guaranteed.
