My mother was an early member of the Boundary Players and for many years ran a childrens Speech and Drama school in Cold Ash and Thatcham. She left a large collection of Plays many of which date from the early days of the Boundary Players (and are Peter Todds origianl copy with stage direction notes) The plays are of all sorts and amount to several boxes. In most cases there is just one copy of each play.
Can you give them a new use? Mum would have been pleased I'm sure to know that they were getting some use again. I'm sure they would be a good resouce for auditons, practice, teaching or refernce.
Please contact me if you think you have a good home for them at your Drama Group/ Theatre /School or similar.
Message from Liz Saxton, now of Compton Players: I was a member of Boundary Players in the 1960s, and worked with Peter Todd on many occasions. He also directed Richard III in the Abbey Ruins, when Eric and I met. Eric also was a member of Boundary Players from 1970s. Would be fascinating to see his hand marked scripts!
